We got to Blackpool and started our day out on Pleasure Beach, the centre for all the rides.
Me and my uncle Roger enjoying the flying rocket ride. This ride is ancient, but I think I prefer the swings
at Playland more. Not to say it wasn't cool!
This is a scan of the photo taken at the Log Ride. I got absoloutly doused on that ride. Thankfully it was a blazing hot day out so I
was nice and cool afterwards.
A wide picture of the one roller coaster I was determined to go on. It's called the Avalanche, and the only thing that
keeps the coaster in place is centrifical force, just like on a real bobsled run.
Mom took this as Uncle Roger and I came down. If you look at the first car, you can see me wearing the pink. I was thinking "This is
FANTASTIC! I can go home tomorrow and say I've been on my first roller coaster!"
Now, let's imagine someone pressing the pause button on this two week vacation. What followed was some intense pain in my gut. I'd been having pains every now and then during the whole trip, but none that's
left me screaming in pain. They had to get me to the hospital where I got examined by this very, very cute doctor.
He thought it was
acid and gave me some pills for it.
| I wasn't at all well enough to travel, though, so we cancelled out flight home. The second doctor gave the best verdict yet: gallstones. She gave me more pills for that, and I started to feel much better. So a few days later before we had to leave, we decided to spend one more day outside. |
